A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF PALCO, KANSAS FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 79-1953 AND PROVIDING FOR SUBSTITUTE AND ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS ON THE SAME SUBJECT.

Section 1. The City of Palco, Kansas, by the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5, of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to exempt itself from and make inapplicable to the City of Palco, Kansas the provisions of K.S.A. 79-1953, and to provide substitute and additional provisions as are set out in this ordinance. The provisions of K.S.A. 79-1953 apply to the City of Palco, Kansas, but does not apply uniformly to all cities of Kansas.

Section 2. The rate of levy for library purposes shall not exceed 4.00 mills.
